Neuman Aluminium’s Mexico Expansion Project to Utilize Jasper’s 40-Tonne Melting Furnace
According to reports on September 30, Neuman Aluminium has selected a 40-tonne aluminum melting furnace from industrial furnace supplier Jasper for Hirschvogel’s plant in San Juan del Río, Mexico, aiming to increase the facility's aluminum output. Following the upgrade of melting furnaces at its headquarters in Marktl, Austria, Neuman is further expanding its footprint in North America. Neuman Aluminium recently entered into a partnership with Hirschvogel for this project. Construction has begun on two production halls, each spanning 7,500 square meters, with production scheduled to launch in early 2028. The unit will be a 40-tonne tiltable melting furnace equipped with Jasper’s PulsReg technology. Its pulse-fired regenerative burner system is designed to operate using natural gas, oil, or pulverized coal and is engineered to handle dusty furnace atmospheres. This joint project marks a significant step into the North American market, representing the company's first major venture in the region. "We are delighted to bring our furnace technology, engineering expertise, and aluminum melting experience to Mexico—we look forward to the project's success and to building a strong partnership," stated Jasper. The new furnace will also support aluminum recycling at the site; process scrap generated during forming can be remelted on-site and returned to the material cycle, allowing the aluminum to be reused in production.
