Highway Roop Acquires Chamundi to Expand Aluminum Die-Casting Capabilities
According to reports on October 1, Carlyle-backed Highway Roop Precision Technologies Limited has completed the acquisition of Chamundi Die Cast Private Limited, an Indian manufacturer of complex, precision-machined aluminum die-cast components for automotive and industrial applications. This acquisition adds aluminum die-casting and precision machining capabilities to Highway Roop’s existing forging and machining platform. The combined business will serve applications such as steering, transmission, powertrain, and electric vehicle components, while extending Highway Roop’s manufacturing footprint into South India. Chamundi’s capabilities complement Highway Roop’s existing strengths in forging and precision machining, enabling the company to offer a broader range of lightweight engineering solutions.
