Construction Begins on Guangyuan’s 50,000-Ton High-Tech Battery Material Project
Construction has officially commenced on a project with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons of high-tech battery materials in the Yuanjiaba Aluminum Industrial Park, located within the Guangyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone. The project is invested by Sichuan Jiuda Aluminum Co., Ltd. and constructed by Gongyi Xingrui Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. With a total investment of 400 million yuan, the project utilizes the enterprise's existing industrial land to construct production facilities—including a proposed Factory Building No. 1 (Class E fire safety rating, single-story, 15m height) and a new factory zone—covering a total area of 25,073.89 square meters (comprising 7,873.89 square meters from the original Factory Building No. 1 and 17,200 square meters of newly applied land). The project involves the installation of five production lines for high-precision battery aluminum foil, each with an annual capacity of 10,000 tons, alongside the production of 6,000 tons of aluminum-copper composite sheets and 2,400 tons of aluminum-copper composite foil annually. Supporting infrastructure will include facilities for slitting, precision cutting, and annealing, as well as utility systems such as quality inspection units, circulating water systems, and air compressor stations. Upon completion and reaching full production capacity, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of 1.3 billion yuan, contribute 90.328 million yuan in tax revenue, and create over 90 jobs. Construction and commissioning are scheduled for completion by October 2026. Once operational, the project will further optimize the industrial chain layout for new lithium battery materials, boost regional production capacity for the new energy sector, and facilitate the high-quality development of local green industries.
